The input shaft seal on your transmission ensures that you will not experience any fluid loss from behind the guide sleeve. If you have a leak, be sure to replace it as soon as possible to avoid losing too much fluid, which can ultimately damage your transmission. For front wheel drive vehicles equipped with manual transmissions only.
