This level sensor is located on the coolant recovery tank and monitors the level of the coolant in the expansion tank. If the coolant level drops too much this sensor will send a signal to the dash to notify you. However, this sensor failing can result in a "low coolant level" warning which can be verified by checking coolant level first.
